New Board of Directors Member Policy
Before election to the Board of Directors, a proposed new Board Member shall attend at least two Board meetings. At, or soon after, the first meeting, he* shall be given a Prospective Board Member Packet. This packet shall contain current copies of the Southeastern Carolina Crossroads, Inc. Bylaws, Policy Manual, Ministry Description, Board of Directors List, Board Application Form, and other appropriate information. He shall be given the opportunity to review the information to determine for himself if there is sufficient interest on his part to seek membership on the Board.
If, after reviewing the documents and having been given the opportunity to make any inquiries he may wish, he determines that he is interested in participating in the ministry as a Board member, he may make application for election to the Board at any Board meeting and/or at the annual meeting.
This application shall contain at least the full name, address, phone number, email, and other appropriate contact information for the applicant, and a statement of non dependence on alcohol and/or other substance. The Board shall provide an application form for the convenience of the applicant.
The Board may approve or disapprove acceptance of the prospective Board member in the manner provided in the Bylaws.
No provision of this policy shall supersede the provisions of the Articles of Incorporation and/or the Bylaws current at the time of the application.
